CertWare received a grant of DKK 750,000 for testing and modification from the OPI pool. And learned a lot in the process.
Few businesses require more permits and certificates than the offshore industry.
Keeping track of it all is a challenge that many face – and CertWare has set out to solve it.
CertWare has developed a solution that eliminates paper and folders and sub-folders and instead collects all certificates in a digital, mobile solution that is currently used by 20 companies. On the way from idea to product, CertWare has been assisted by the OPI pool, which supports partnership-based cooperation between public and private partners on innovation and fresh solutions.
“The OPI pool has been a great help in the important test phase, where any entrepreneurial business needs support," says Niels Henrik Duevang, Key Account Manager at CertWare:
"The support has helped to qualify the idea and assisted us on the way from idea to product. The grant of DKK 750,000 made it possible to establish a test program on a scale that we could not have managed ourselves. We went straight from 40 percent complete to 80 percent complete,” says Niels Henrik Duevang.
CertWare had preliminary discussions with Offshoreenergy.dk on the possibility of support through OPI, and here, in the application and in the work with the public partner SE, it has qualified the idea:
"Even in the application process you get a better idea of what the product can and should be able to do. The screening prior to the application is a good process, and that part of the scope alone is beneficial,” says Duevang.

"It's a big ask, but it is certainly worth the effort. You get a better idea of things by going through the process. "
