With 1,239 MW fully commissioned, the Eastern UK is already one of the busiest offshore centres.
In the coming years, the region will be buzzing even more as future O&M projects get under way. At the end of November, Offshoreenergy.dk teamed up with our strategic partners in Team Humber Marine Alliance to give Danish wind companies a tour of the exciting and prosperous UK wind sector and, according to Gustavo Ferraz de Luna, Project Manager at Offshoreenergy.dk, there is much to look forward to:
“The UK wind market is already very attractive to the entire Danish supply chain because our knowhow and competences are in demand here. What we see now is, however, but a fraction of the potential: Over the next few years, the UK wind market will increase by 7,500 MW – more than six times the current level. And these are only planned developments we know about today,” he says:
“It is important that the members of Offshoreenergy.dk meet local stakeholders and establish contacts to potential business partners now. Over the years, we have established connections and partnerships with our UK colleagues, and we are more than happy to assist our members in setting up meetings with relevant, potential business partners in the UK,” he adds.
