Danish suppliers to the offshore wind supply chain will meet potential partners at the U.S. Offshore Wind Academy in Boston at the end of September.
On 29-30 September, Danish offshore wind companies from the entire supply chain will link up with potential North American partners and clients at the U.S. Offshore Wind Academy in Boston. Working with the Danish Trade Council in Chicago, Offshoreenergy.dk is facilitating a workshop on developing and servicing offshore wind farms. The objective is to present past cases and future projects with focus on technical challenges and opportunities.
“It’s still early days in the American offshore wind industry but the potential is definitely there,” says Mikkel Juul, Head of Internationalization at Offshoreenergy.dk.
“The Eastern seaboard has waters reminiscent of the North Sea, and Danish offshore wind competences could very well be transferred to this market. We have the knowledge and skills – and a reputation as one of the world leaders in offshore wind. This explains why the American offshore wind industry is so eager to team up with Danish suppliers,” he says.
There will be approximately 100 participants from more than 60 companies at the Wind Academy.
The workshop includes a business-to-business session - a series of 15-minute meetings that allow the participants to build a foundation for future collaboration.
